"Does Your Preacher Present ONLY the Word of God?"

Richie Thetford

Some preachers do not present the Word of God as God would want it presented. There are some preachers that bring in destructive heresies, teaching a doctrine that has been devised by man. These preachers are known as "false teachers" - And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'"

2 pet 2:1¶ But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift

Jesus Himself warned of those that would teach as doctrines the commandments of men (Matt 15:9).

And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'"

These false teachers do not advertise and say "hey, I'm a false teacher!" No, these teachers are the same as Jesus

talked about saying: (Matt 15:8).

'These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

A false teacher talks a good talk but their walk is obvious. Some preachers try to get people to believe that scripture is of one's own interpretation and it doesn't matter what one believes as long as we believe in Jesus.

But Peter said: "knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation" (2 Pet 1:20).

So who are we going to believe; God or man? We better obey God (Acts 5:29)But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men.

Why should we obey God rather than man ? because Jesus said only those that obey the Father will enter into heaven

(Matt 7:21). ¶ "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Think about it, is your preacher helping or hindering your walk toward heaven?
